Saturday kicked off the first public facing day of E3 2021 and most publishers and studios have held surprises until the entire world was let through the doors. Ubisoft was the first of the AAA publishers to make announcements during their virtual press conference. Here’s what was announced.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege: Extraction
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is a one to three-player cooperative tactical first-person shooter. Assemble an elite team of Rainbow Six operators to launch incursions into tense, chaotic, and unpredictable containment zones and discover the mysteries behind the lethal and constantly evolving Arceans alien threat. Knowledge, cooperation, and a tactical approach are the player’s best weapons. Band together and put everything on the line to take on deadly enemies and contain the parasite. The game launches on September 16, 2021.
Rocksmith Plus
Rocksmith+ is the future of interactive music learning; a new subscription service which teaches users how to play guitar and bass through their favorite songs. It builds upon the award-winning Rocksmith method and innovative practice tools developed by Ubisoft San Francisco. With improved state-of-the-art note detection, real-time feedback, practice tools designed to give guitar players control, all-new personalized recommendations, and the only ever-growing library with master recordings, Rocksmith+ is the premiere music-learning software. There’s a closed beta you can sign up for at Rocksmith.com/beta. The full service is expected to launch in 2021.
Werewolves Within
WEREWOLVES WITHIN was produced by Jason Altman, Margaret Boykin, and Andrew Lieberman for Ubisoft Film & Television; Matt Miller, Natalie Metzger, and Benjamin Wiessner for Vanishing Angle; and Sam Richardson.
After a proposed gas pipeline creates divisions within the small town of Beaverfield, and a snowstorm traps its residents together inside the local inn, newly arrived forest ranger FINN (Sam Richardson) and postal worker CECILY (Milana Vayntrub) must try to keep the peace and uncover the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun terrorizing the community.

Mario, Rabbid Peach and their friends are back for a new adventure of cosmic scale in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope! Cursa, a mysterious and malevolent entity seeks out energy to further its nefarious plans, is determined to consume all the energy of the Sparks, creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas & Rabbids. In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, players will explore surprising planets through the galaxy, and form the most extravagant team of Heroes to outwit enemies in an innovative combat system mixing turn-based tactics and real time action. When this unlikely team combines forces with the Sparks’ immense energy, anything is possible…for better OR worse!
